Tyra Banks shows love for Filipinos after Rabiya Mateo’s Miss Universe stint
International supermodel Tyra Banks expressed her love and support to Filipinos after the Philippines’ Rabiya Mateo placed in the Top 21 spot in the recently concluded Miss Universe competition.

American television host-model Tyra Banks shared Gray’s tweet with her followers and gushed over Filipino beauty queens.

“Woooow this year is intense! Sending Rabiya all of our love! She made our country proud,” Catriona Gray wrote via Twitter on May 17.
Gray also pointed out that Miss Philippines Rabiya Mateo was able to continue the country’s years-long streak of placing in the pageant’s semifinals despite failing to enter the top 10.
Tyra Banks has been vocal of her admiration for Filipina beauties and earlier praised the Philippines’ fourth Miss Universe Catriona Gray on her signature strut, the “Lava Walk”.
The Philippines now enjoys an eleven-year streak of placement in the semis of Miss Universe, with the country’s candidates earning runner-up titles and securing wins by Pia Wurtzbach in 2015 and in 2018 by Catriona Gray.
