Two Filipino beauty queens who took home beauty pageant crowns, Pia Wurtzbach and Angelia Ong, have graced the cover of L’Officiel India’s 20th Anniversary issue.

The India-based lifestyle magazine unveiled a series of glamorous photos for the April issue featuring cover girls Wurtzbach and Ong on May 17, 2021.

L’Officiel India said the special collector’s edition is titled “Transcending Earth and The Universe” for Wurtzbach and Ong who have both “created history at global beauty pageants” and campaigned for important social issues.

Ong, who was described by the magazine as an “eco champion for the environment” delivered a historic back-to-back win for the Philippines in the Miss Earth pageant.

Miss Universe 2015 winner Pia Wurtzbach was recognized by L’Officiel India for her role as a Joint United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS (UNAIDS) Goodwill Ambassador for Asia and the Pacific region.

On Instagram, Filipino-Chinese model and beauty queen Angelia Ong shared how excited she was to work with the third Filipina Miss Universe, Pia Wurtzbach.

“I’ve always wanted us to work together and I’m more than happy that we finally did it. 2015 has been special for the both of us and we’re so glad that for the first time, we can share a frame dedicated to the pageant fans,” Angelia Ong wrote.

“We’ve both brought joy and honor to our country and even more than 5 years after, we’ve worked hard in our chosen field and advocacies TRANSCENDING EARTH AND THE UNIVERSE,” Ong adds.

Angelia Ong and Pia Wurtzbach are featured on two covers of L’Officiel India’s ‘Special Collector’s Edition’ for the month of April 2021.

Filipina-German beauty Pia Wurtzbach previously appeared on nine Xpedition magazine covers and was hailed “Woman of the Year” during Xpedition magazine’s Annual Gala Awards (XAGA) 2020 in Dubai.
